CTY Ireland’s Transition Year Correspondence Courses offer students an opportunity to experience third level subjects in a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Over the course of six assignments, students will gain a deeper insight into their chosen subject, dealing firsthand with some of its core topics.
The courses are also designed to help develop the skills in academic writing necessary in third level study. Students will learn to research, to
handle difficult topics and to formulate their own opinions to construct their own piece of work. Over the course of the six assignments, these skills will advance and develop
with the help and guidance of the tutors and course organiser. By the final assignment, participants should have a good feel for their chosen subject, which should assist in their
future educational planning
